Ingredients
- 2 cups mixed bird seed
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons water
Equipment
- Mixing bowl
- Spoon
Instructions
Combine the dry ingredients: Place the bird seed, oats, and flour in the mixing bowl. Stir with the spoon until the seeds are evenly coated with the flour and oats.

Add the binder: Pour in the honey and water. Mix thoroughly until the mixture clumps together and holds when pressed.

Form the rounds: Scoop portions of the mixture and press firmly between your palms into flat rounds about two inches across and half an inch thick.

Arrange on the pan: Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the formed rounds on the sheet with a little space between each one.

Bake until set: Heat the oven to 325 degrees. Bake the rounds for 18 to 22 minutes until the edges look lightly golden and the rounds feel firm.

Cool completely: Remove the sheet from the oven and let the rounds sit on the pan for 10 minutes before moving them to a rack to finish cooling.

Store for later use: Once fully cooled, place the rounds in an airtight container at room temperature.
